| Twitter | Twitter is a free social networking service that allows users to write brief text messages (known as tweets) to other users with posts of up to 140 characters in length. Common use is between friends using cell phones saying "What are you doing right now?" Updates are displayed on the user's profile page and delivered to other users who have signed up to receive them.
